One of the best mangas I have ever read ended today. It had it's problems, sure, but it was still enjoyable to read. Now, after I saw the ending, I want to share what I feel about it.
The primary reason I got interested in Naruto was the protagonist. Or rather - his goal. He intended to become Hokage, the greatest ninja in the village and a ruler, despite the fact that he was loud, obnoxious loser. I just wanted to see whether he succeeds or not. And it turned out he did - he's the Hokage now, something I hoped to see! He's not the sixth (as the sixth was Kakashi - I couldn't help but giggle at his masked face on the Hokage monument), but seventh instead, thought.
The last chapter takes place many years after final battle of Naruto and Sasuke. So, naturally, characters had aged, matured and redesigned. Naruto looks cool, Sakura is cool as well, Sasuke somehow reminds me of Madara appearance-wise, Kiba looks amazingly cool, same for Shikamaru. Now, for Choji. In The Last movie, his project looks like Bob from Tekken franchise. But in this chapter, he looks like Rufus from Street Fighter. And I don't like that. Temari looks pretty and very recognizeable. Gaara.... I don't like his hairstyle, really. Doesn't suit him one bit, it looks silly But that's still better than Kankuro, who looks like serial killer. Aside from that, we saw older Kakashi, Gai (on the wheelchair), Anko (why is she so fat?), Kurenai (she's older, that's legit) and her child (son? daughter? Anyway, she/he looks cool! Like really cool) , we have grown versions of Konohamaru (who's now jounin), Udon and Moegi, each of them aged very nice. Hinata doesn't changed much, but she is still very pretty. Special spot for Killer Bee, who had aged with dignity. He doesn't look cool. He looks like the very definiton of badass. Besides we have seen older 5 Kages, who obviously aged (aside from Tsunade, ofc). It's wonder how Onoki is still alive, thought. Oh, and there is Tenten.
Now, the controversial thing. The next generatin. Naruto and his classmates have children now, and that means the canon pairings. I wished the series would end with open-interpretation regarding the personal life of Naruto and others. Specificaly Naruto, due to how NaruHina nad NaruSaku shippers act daily. But, here's what Kishimoto did: we have NaruHina with two kids (sweet daugher and son, who's attention whore), SasuSaku with daughter (who looks like SasuKarin child), ShikaTema with son (the one thing I'm actually cool with. Not only I ship it, but the fans aren't rabid idiots like NaruHinatards or NaruSakutards), Choji and Karui with daughter (what the fuck? really?) and Sai and Ino with.... whatever gender that thing is. Good that we don't know antything about Gaara's martial state. I'm a GaaMatsu shipper, but I like the fact that everyone can told for themselves who's Gaara should end up with. No GaaSari shipper is going to be hurt. No Gaa x OC shipper would be hurt. And that's cool. It's kinda funny how Mei still seems to be single . Poor woman.
And, there are new Kages! Gaara is still the Kazekage, Darui become Raikage (yay!), Kurotsuchi is now Tsuchikage (first female Tsuchikage? I'm ok with that.) and Choujiro is the Mizukage! Choujiro, who would have thought? He looks more matured and serious now.
Now, the manga ends, Konoha has been shown to really growth... But there is one problem: what of Bijuus? What of Taka? What of Orochimaru? We fucking demand to know!
Anyway, I still feel like staying in Naruto franchise, even thought Hinatards and Sakuratards are bound to become annoyance.
